Neil Canavan will deliver the keynote address on June 7 at  Penn's Neuro-Oncology Brain Tumor Symposium 2019: Best Practices in Patient Care, A veteran science journalist with over 20 years of experience reporting on the technologies of drug development – Neil authored, A Cure Within; Scientists Unleashing the Immune System to Kill Cancer, published in the fall of 2017.
 
Canavan’s address entitled, A Cure Within: The Remarkable Stories of the Pioneers of Cancer Immunotherapy will describe his two-year journey, interviewing the pioneers of the modern field of cancer immunotherapy, including the 2018 Nobel Prize winners, James Allison, and Tasuku Honjo, as well as Penn luminary Carl June.

Penn's Neuro-Oncology Brain Tumor Symposium 2019: Best Practices in Patient Care is a CME/CNE -accredited course presented by Penn’s Abramson Cancer Center and Brain Tumor Center.
